Traditionally, the bride and groom register and ask for a bunch of stuff at Bed Bath and Beyond or Target or wherever. More traditionally, the bride and groom are in their young 20s and just starting out and have no stuff so they ask for pots and pans, silverware, linens, etc. In our case, we're fairly well set on all the traditional wedding items like toasters and coffee makers. Also, since the wedding is in Seattle and we live in California, any gifts we get would just be a hassle for us to move. To save us the stress of moving presents, we've decided not to register at the traditional stores, and ask for nothing. If you would like to give us something you can provide us with a Bed Bath and Beyond Gift Card or some cash, which we will spend in Italy on our honeymoon, use for a house down-payment or use to help pay for the wedding. But our official stance is that nothing is expected, we just want you to have fun at our wedding! Thanks! |
